The Gem Bait & Tackle has been around for over 50 years providing bait & tackle to fishers visiting Jumpinpin and Gold Coast. The Morris family Greg, Lyn, Richard & Michael have run the shop for the past 11 years. We are avid fishermen that strive to fish as much as possible and test a majority of our products so we know what works.

Richard prefers to head to North Queensland and The Gulf to target reef fish and Barramundi, and yes he is a member of the illustrious meter club, but he still loves to head out to the pin and chase tailor and flathead.

Micks a bit of an expert on Flathead, targeting them with soft plastics, live & dead baits. Mick also writes for QFM Magazine so look for his Jumpinpin articles in there monthly. Or you might even see him out on the water in his boat Homer J. pic

Greg prefers Beach fishing, he heads up to Fraser Island every year and loves targeting Tailor.

Bruce Murray, whilst he is not related he is like family, he has been with us for the 11 yars we have run the shop. Bruce fished Stradbroke & Moreton Islands for 20 years back in the day when you needed a horse & cart to get over there. The past few years he has been fishing the Pin & Gold Coast Broardwater. Over 30 years fishing experience and he has heaps of fishing storis to tell. Also catch him on the radio on saturday mornings for his fishing reports.
